Joomla vs Drupal September 22, 2007

So I have played with Joomla and Drupal for a while, and they both seem like really great software (don’t ya love open source?). However, Drupal seems to be more adaptable for the purposes of this project. I’ve looked at their list of modules a little bit, and am pretty sure that we can do everything we want with the modules that exist (or with a very small amount of development on top of them). There’s even chat or IM modules available.

I would like to proceed with Drupal as the CMS base for this project. What do you all think?

Make special note of:
Taxonomy modules
Media modules
Community modules

That the feeling im getting. Droople seems to have a wider development base and a more solid back end.
